World Book day is also known as world Book and copyright day is an annual event organised by the United Nations Educational, scientific and cultural organisation. This is a day to promote the reading of books and to know the importance of books and also to promote publishing and copyright.

Firstly the world Book day was celebrated on 23th April 1995. On that day Miguel de Cervantes died. So in 1995 UNESCO decided 23th April it as World Book and copyright day is also known as the International book and copyright day and also 23th April is the anniversary day of William Shakespeare he is a world's famous writer.
We have to remember all the Indian writers ( Rabindranath Tagore, Sarojini Naidu, Vemana, Sri Sri and many more) because they gave a lot of knowledge and also this day is known as knowledge day.
