Sage Agastya's the way of generating electricity

In a Sanskrit treatise called, Agastya Samhita, sage Agastya had revealed the method of generating electricity.
Agastya used the following materials for generating electricity

  1. One earthen pot
  2. Copperplate
  3. Copper sulfate
  4. Wet sawdust
  5. Zinc amalgam

Agastya further explained that if the electricity generated from one hundred pots is thrown into water then after the water will split into oxygen and hydrogen atoms. He also said that hydrogen can be used as fuel.
According to Hindu mythology Agastya belongs to the Vedic period. Thus we can conclude that electricity was first introduced in the Vedic period.
In Agasteya's explanation, he mentioned all the utilities of gold, silver, and copper.
