The society's goals were to oppose superstitions, obscurantism, religious influence over public life, and abuses of state power. They wrote in their general status that "is to put an end to the machinations of the purveyors of injustice, to control them without dominating them.
They adopt the influential intellectuals and progressive politicians in their group. The group was also referred to as various groups and they will also control world affairs.
